Our Mission

The Association is organized exclusively to carry on any lawful non-profit business or enterprise of educational or scientific purpose; specifically defined to educate law enforcement personnel as a public benefit to society.

Our Goal

The goals of the Association are to provide professional education related to the collection, storage, and disposition of property and evidence stored by law enforcement agencies and furthermore, to encourage law enforcement agencies to garner public trust by ensuring that property and evidence is available for court presentation, returned to its rightful owner, or otherwise disposed of in a prompt, efficient, and legal manner.

Our Vision

The IAPE Board of Directors is charged with the duties of advancing the scope of knowledge and enhancing professionalism within the field of property and evidence management.

The primary activities of the Association are envisioned:

to provide educational information on the legal and technical aspects of operating a law enforcement property and evidence storage unit
to educate through written publications and training events
to provide an open forum for discussions, and provide literature for the purpose of educating members on property and evidence related issues
